Just a friendly reminder that this week, from Monday, November 11th to Saturday, November 16th, we will be measuring costumes at the studio. Each teacher will spend around 15-20 minutes measuring each dancer at the beginning of their class. Please keep in mind that if your child takes multiple classes, they will only be measured once. If your dancer is away this week, we will quickly take their measurements next week.
What we measure: Chest, Waist, Hips, Girth and Inseam. As part of the fitting process, the dancer will try on a bodysuit in a sample size to find the right fit. For parents of younger children, we take into account the possibility of a growth spurt in the Spring when taking measurements.
What to wear: Please ensure that your dancers wear appropriate uniforms for their class. Pre Ballet dancers should leave their ballet skirts at home this week, they will not be able to wear them for measuring week. If the skirt is attached to the bodysuit, please consider wearing a different suit this week (even if it’s a different colour).
Hip Hop dancers should wear leggings instead of baggy sweatpants and tank tops instead of T-shirts this week as well. They can wear a sweatshirt over the top at the beginning of the class, but please make sure it is easily removable.
Thank you!
