Camp F.A.Q.’s

You are here: Home / Summer Camp / Camp F.A.Q.’s

Have questions about our summer camp? Here are some common ones.

What is the ratio of teacher to student?

Each group has two teachers and one to two assistants. The ratio of teachers and assistants to campers is 1:4 for the Mini age group (5-7 years) and 1:5 for the Inters (7-9 years) and Seniors (10-13 years).

What should my child wear to dance camp?

Campers do not need to wear a dance uniform (bodysuit and tights) during summer camp. We encourage our campers to wear shorts or leggings with a tank top or T-shirt. They must be able to move freely in their outfit. Please label all clothing and shoes with your child’s name.

What footwear should my child bring?

Campers who have dance shoes (ballet or jazz shoes) can wear them at camp, but they are not mandatory. Dancers can also wear socks. Please ensure they have a pair of running shoes for their Hip Hop class.

Do we need to pack a lunch or snacks?

Yes. Please send a nut-free lunch and two snacks each day, along with a labelled water bottle. Our campers often eat more during dance camp because we’re busy all day long. Please add one extra snack just in case they are still hungry. On Fridays we provide a pizza lunch.

What time does camp start and end?

The Dance Days of Summer camp runs from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, with drop-off starting at 8:30 am. Our camp day ends at 4:00 pm, and extended aftercare is available until 5:00 pm.

Is there before or after-care available?

We offer complimentary early drop-off starting at 8:30 am and aftercare until 5:00 pm.

What happens during the day at camp?

Camp days include a mix of dance classes, crafts, games, yoga, drama, and themed activities. We also have two short snack breaks and lunchtime each day.

Does my child need prior dance experience?

Not at all! Our camps are open to dancers of all levels – from first-timers to experienced movers.

How are campers grouped?

Campers are grouped by age to ensure a fun and supportive environment for everyone. Our “Minis” are 5-7 years, our “Inters” are 7-9 years, and our “Seniors” are 10-13 years old.

What is the camp cancellation / refund policy?

Cancellations made before the first day of their registered session will receive a refund minus the non-refundable deposit. No refunds for cancellations once their camp week begins.

What if my child is shy or nervous?

Our instructors are warm, welcoming, and experienced with young dancers. We make sure every camper feels safe, comfortable, and included. We are equipped and ready to help ease the transition into our studio space if your dancer needs some extra reassurance.

Can we register for more than one week?

Absolutely! Many families sign up for multiple weeks. Themes, choreography, teachers, assistants, and activities change every week to keep camp fresh and exciting. You can register for one week or as many weeks as you would like.
