I danced here for 13 years all because my mom instantly fell in love with Briana’s energy from the minute she walked into that first little studio in 2006. After graduation, I worked at the front desk, and now I teach my own classes at the studio. I have loved this place for as long as I can remember, so I just decided to never leave because it makes me so happy. The sense of community at this studio is something I have yet to find anywhere else. It feels like a home away from home. My mom was right: Briana’s energy is special and so is the space she has created with the help of the incredible staff. If you’re looking for a place to dance, look no further. Welcome to The Guelph Academy of Dance – Guelph’s premier non-competitive dance studio. We offer a wide range of children’s dance classes, including Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, and Pointe. As a registered member of the Royal Academy of Dance, our ballet program offers the opportunity to participate in annual ballet examinations, enabling our dancers to set goals and experience the reward of discipline, dedication, and personal growth. Our adult program provides a full range of class options, including Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, and Contemporary, catering to all experience levels. We also offer a fun and engaging Adult & Tot 12-week session in the Fall and Winter that is a perfect introduction to movement for our youngest dancers and their caregivers.
At TGAD, we’re more than a dance studio – we’re a vibrant and supportive community where every dancer can thrive. Our culture is built on positivity, encouragement, inclusivity, and a profound passion for the art of dance.
Many of our dancers begin their journey at the age of three and continue dancing with us all the way through high school; we’re honoured to be a part of their growth every step of the way. Our dedicated faculty members inspire confidence, and cultivate an environment where every dancer feels encouraged to shine. We love what we do, and our commitment to excellence is reflected in the care, energy, and expertise we bring to every class.

The Guelph Academy of dance is a a warm, inclusive atmosphere with teachers and a Director who truly care about the students and their families. While the classes are fun, professionalism is key and the students are taught in a way that will prepare them for a future in dance, if that is what the child desires. A year-end recital provides a great showcase of the skills each level and dance form has accomplished that season.
