Host your next birthday party at The Guelph Academy of Dance!
Celebrate your child’s special day with a birthday party they’ll never forget! Our talented teachers will choreograph a unique dance to their favourite song just for the birthday child and their guests, creating a truly one-of-a-kind experience.
With space for up to 15 guests, two hours of high-energy fun, and a warm, inclusive atmosphere where everyone can shine, it’s a celebration made for memories. Best of all, we take care of the mess, so you can relax and enjoy every moment!
How the Birthday Parties Work:
Half an hour before the party begins – Set up time
You’re welcome to come and start decorating and organizing a half hour before the party begins. We will help you set up in the purple room just off the reception area, with tables and chairs arranged for snacks, food, and cake. There will also be a display table at the front of the room for your goodies, juice boxes, cake, cupcakes, or whatever you wish to bring.
Families have traditionally brought fruit, chips, and finger foods for snacks.
Guests Arrive
Our faculty will help welcome the party guests into the studio and guide them on where to put their belongings (purple change room). They will keep everyone in the reception area until all party attendees have arrived. Once everyone is here, they will escort the group to the yellow studio for the dance portion of the party.
First Hour – Games and Choreography
We will lead the group in a few ice-breaker games and teach them some basic dance steps that will form the choreography. This will take an hour, possibly a little longer. Please remind the friends to bring a water bottle; they will want a break!
Second 45 minutes – Snacks, Cake, and Gifts
The dancers will return to the purple room for snacks and cake. Afterward, we will set up a corner with chairs for the birthday gifts.
Last 15 minutes – Rehearsal Before the Show
In the final 15 minutes, the teachers will take the dancers back to the yellow room to rehearse the performance for all the parents picking up their children.
End of the Party
After the group of party-goers perform their choreographed dance for the parents, it’s time to say goodbye to guests. We will assist you in cleaning up your belongings after the party and take care of all the mess!
When are Birthday Parties offered?
Birthday Parties are offered on Saturdays from 3:00 – 5:00 pm and on Sundays from 1:00 – 3:00 pm.
How many people can we invite?
We can accommodate up to 15 people per birthday party.
